Baptisms are usually held on Sundays at 12 noon, by arrangement. If you would like to arrange for your child to be baptised at St James the Deacon Parish Church, please fill in the application form below or contact the Vicar. WEDDINGS
If you would like to be married at St James the Deacon Parish Church, please contact the Vicar. You can find more information about Church Weddings at https://www.churchofengland.org/life-events/your-church-wedding and download a Marriage Application Form.
BANNS OF MARRIAGE
If you live in the Parish and are planning to get married in a different church, Banns will need to be read at St James the Deacon, as well as in the church you are being married in: for more information, please see https://www.churchofengland.org/life-events/your-church-wedding/planning-your-ceremony/reading-banns.
To organise for Banns to be read, please download and fill in a Banns Application form, then email it to the Parish Office at office.stjamesthedeacon@gmail.com. Please note than Banns need to be read the month before the wedding takes place, so make sure you leave plenty of time!
Funerals
If you would like a funeral to take place at St James the Deacon Parish Church, please discuss this with your funeral directors and they will make arrangements with the church.
