•                    Welcome in the name of Jesus Christ.

    1971 - 2021

St James the Deacon Parish Church is 50!

Come and join in the celebrations for our Golden Jubilee Year (2021-2022)

    "Faithful to God's Future"

This year, 2021 our church celebrates its Golden Jubilee of consecration, and 50 years of mission and ministry in this place and the beginning of our next fifty years. Since our church was consecrated by Archbishop Coggan in 1971, our parish has grown and developed tremendously over the past fifty years. This Golden Jubilee Year is an opportunity for us to recall the past and, more importantly, to look forward joyfully to God’s future together.

During the Jubilee Year which will run from Sunday 4 July 2021- Sunday 3 July 2022 there will be three key points of celebration – the year  begins with our Dedication Festival Eucharist on Sunday 4 July 2021. There will be a special Patronal Festival Eucharist on Sunday 10 October 2021 at which the Archbishop of York will celebrate and preach and dedicate our new icon of St James the Deacon. The year will finally come to its conclusion with a Golden Jubilee weekend of celebrations from Friday 1 July 2022 and officially end with the Dedication Festival Eucharist on Sunday 3 July 2022.

    Regular Services:

    Sunday Eucharist: 10.00am

    Midweek Eucharist: Wednesday at 10.00am
